Head coach Brett Brown said last week that Tony Wroten - who backed up Carter-Williams for most of last year - will likely assume the starting role when the Sixers’ begin their pre-season schedule next Monday, October 6th, at the Boston Celtics.  Brown, though, acknowledged yesterday that he’s intrigued by what Alexey Shved - acquired from Minnesota as part of the Thaddeus Young deal - could offer at the point.  Shved mostly played shooting guard in two seasons with the Timberwolves; he’s hit 36% from the field, and 29.5% from three point territory, in his brief NBA career.
