2012 third round draft pick Shayne Gostisbehere of Division I National Champion Union college has signed an entry level contract with the Flyers and will report to Adirondack of the American Hockey League this weekend.

More from the Flyers:

Gostisbehere is fresh off winning the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament with Union College, held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia this past weekend. He led Union with a goal and two assists to go along with a plus-minus rating of +7 in the Championship game, a 7-4 win over Minnesota.

Over the course of three years at Union, Gostisbehere recorded 22 goals and 60 assists for 82 points in 118 games.

Gostisbehere became a focal point of Flyers fans attention during Union's National Championship run. Some were clamoring for him to sign and suit up for the Orange and Black in its regular season finale on Sunday against the Hurricanes.

You'd have to think that he will be the sexy pick to make the team out of training camp or, at the very least, make a very serious push.
