Tony Bruno is nothing short of a radio legend in Philadelphia, and that is why we are thrilled to have Tony back hosting mid-days in Philadelphia. The Tony Bruno Show with Tony and Harry Mayes airs every weekday from noon to 2:00 PM. Tony’s outrageous, enthusiastic, off-the-wall approach has always endeared him to Philly sports fans. Whether he’s talking about grabbing a cheesesteak in his beloved South Philly or referencing some random moment from past Philadelphia sports history Tony always loves talking it up. And that’s why Tony has two shows on the station! He also hosts Into The Night weeknights from 10:00 PM – 1:00 AM!
Tony’s background in sports is long and distinguished. He is an alum of the famed, old WFIL and also worked at WCAU. He was a morning show host on WIP in the early 1990s and then moved on to ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio and Sporting News Radio. Tony has also worked in television, notably as a regular contributor on Fox Sports Best Damn Sports Show Period. Now Tony is thrilled to be back mid-days in Philly – ready to bring listeners the type of entertaining sports radio that only he can provide!
One of the very few remaining founding members from the original sports format of what was then Sports Talk 950 in 2005, Harry Mayes has been integral in the rise of the radio station and has carved out a very important role with 97.5 The Fanatic. Harry is the mid-day co-host of the Tony Bruno Show from noon to 2:00 PM. He provides an enthusiastic approach to sports talk – somewhat irreverent, never dull and always ready to provide a passionate opinion. Harry also co-hosts the Desean Jackson Show and our Eagles Pre-Game Show. Previously Harry worked alongside two Eagles stars as a co-host of both the Brian Dawkins Show and the Brian Westbrook Show.
Prior to joining the radio station Harry was with ESPN Radio in the Lehigh Valley. He actually began with radio in Sales, but followed his passion of talking about sports and got himself positioned in front of the microphone. When Harry came to our station he started off as a Sports Update Anchor, but his talk show skills shined through and before long Harry was hosting shows regularly on the station. Harry can also be seen from time-to-time in the Fall as a contributor for Fox-29’s coverage of the Eagles and has appeared as a commentator on CBS-3’s Sports Zone.
